150 Fruit :)-]-{
This Beauty is set & growing on my 150 plant, on July 22nd. She is sitting at about 800 lbs!
It is pretty darn amazing that these plants are powerful enough to produce such a large fruit in such a small area, in such a short period if time.

Going back a couple years when I grew my 2,405 pounder someone asked me "Well, you gonna grow a bigger one next year?" I remember telling him I have no doubt that I can grow a bigger pumpkin, but for it to be this big, deep orange, great shape and just overall an absolutely beautiful specimen. The odds of that happening would be like lighting striking twice in the same place.....
Well here I am on August 15th a couple years later and I have an absolutely beautiful specimen sitting at about 2k right now.
She is an absolute Bute! If this girl can hang on for the long run I just might be sipping fine wine in California with Travis at the end September......

150 plant - Fruit Entry:
Holy Moly.... This Girl just keeps getting bigger and prettier every day!
She is taping over 1,200 pounds right now with tons of season left to grow...
I will be honest, I did not really expect this much out of this tiny plant but this girl just keeps gaining. No signs of her slowing at all so this could get really interesting in the next few weeks!
As for Ghost-Kin she is still gobbling up all those carbohydrates that plant will give her. Her weight gains are down but don't tell her that. She got a butt on her as big as a bulldozer. She just might be lurking in the patch waiting for the right moment to pounce......

150 Fruit Entry:
On the scale she came in a few pounds lighter then most would like, but I tell you what I will trade a few pounds for that beautiful shape and color!!
Had a lot of fun my first year growing out the 150 plant. Heck I might just quite growing big plants..... too much work! 150 plants seems like the way to go.
Final Scale Weight: 1,167 lbs

Well unfortunately my Big Girl 2405 met an early demise.....
She had been growing at a very good rate for her age and the skin on her just didn't have the pliability it had when she was a younger fruit. She went from shiny smooth skin to having deep cracks on top of almost every rib line that continued to open up further every day. I was able to keep them dry and clean and she continued to grow at a vert nice rate. Then one day I was caught off guard by some bad storms that rolled through (she was not covered) and that water worked it's way deep into those cracks and this was the start of a never a never ending battle....
I weighed her in the Patch towards the beginning of September and she maxed out my 1000kg crane scale with ease!! 1000kg is 2,204 lbs. She had to of been A couple hundred more then that to max that scale out when she still had most of her bottom on the ground.
Lessons learned.....
Beautiful Big Orange Fruit!
