Then there is the late 839 that I have growing. The leaves look great and at the moment I have 3 pumpkins on it. I was surprised to see the rotten main vine on it at only 5 feet out. It looked shredded and rotten. So out with the knife and a clean cut and sulphur powder and it now has a 3 foot gap in the main vine. I am amazed at there were no dying leaves to give me a clue something was wrong. Crazy !
