My Nephew found out why growth has slowed on the 1078. More rot in the main almost to the kin. Had him slice vine and rot stopped just before final secondary. Rot had disintegrated most of the vine and I had him cut it a few inches before the last secondary. Had him daconil the main there then coated it with vaseline. Third time coating a cutoff main with vaseline. Works well and results have been very good. Don't believe anything will live in vaseline plus it stops all water from inside and out. Curious to know if anybody else uses it? I learned from an Old Timer and I'm pushing 70 so I can't ask him. Works for Me. No sulphur or fan required. Hopefully this stopped the rot and maybe she can hang in there. Vaseline plugs the leaks and seals the end. Fingers crossed. Also got a real good measurement with the two of us there and 158cc..90ee..97ss....345ott...939 lbs.
