I am always gunning for the Howard Dill Award. Came up short this time. The pumpkin to the right of mine won. It was bigger and might have had a slightly more uniform shape. I believe mine had better color though got to go with what the voters say though. This pumpkin was grown by a first year grower and he didn't know the seed. Based on the striping I have a sneaking suspicion that he used a club seed that might have come from yours truly. All of my pumpkins with the 1872 Sippel in the line have that striping.
