Big & heavy is what it is going to take from here on out. Up until last year you could get away with just being big (480+ OTT). Now the harsh reality is that you have to be crazy-heavy too�if you want to be competitive. One of my goals this year was to grow pumpkins with really big OTT measurements. I feel that I achieved that goal. Unfortunately my expectation that super-heavy would just happen because of my growing practices turned out to be �pumpkin-grower fantasy.� I love 1885 Werner crosses. I also like the idea of crossing the 2560 Gienger (1885 Werner x sib) into these proven super-heavy monster-makers. Fortunately I acquired these seeds before their cost goes through the roof�and that will happen very soon.
