I have gone to their web site and the information there on the weight off is from 2004 ...what and how does a new first time grower have to do to enter this ? Register ? etc etc

I dont know if you belong to the NEPGA, but they send a form to their members. I bet you could just contact the Hoomis' and they will get you a form. Also, the Topsfield fair book has a little form that you send in to the fair. Other growers call up the person in charge. (dont know who this year) I wouldnt worry about getting registered for the fair until September. You could always show up at the weighoff and be a late entry.
