Season extenders like remay block 20-30% of the sunlight in but raise the air temperature underneath the fabric. What do you think is the better trade off, more sun light or higher temps?

70% sun is fine . . .on a sunny day on a cloudy day you'd be losing, and on sunny days you don't need the blanket effect. Better off without is my guess
But if you're willing to put in on at night and take it off in morning . . .that would gain But then you might as well use a light plastic That worked for me one year.

Heat the 'kin under a blue tarp tent with a thermostatically controlled small, space heater. That way, at night you'll keep it warmer and not have to go and pull off blankets when it gets warmer. A similarly controlled fan will keep it from overheating during the day. What to do with the remay and vine is a separate question and in our neck of the woods the warmth of the remay makes sense, even at the expense of the sunlight.

The plants will determine the season by the amount/length of available sunlight. Days are already getting shorter. so, I imagine growth should soon start to slow a bit as well.
My thoughts would be: Let there be light!!!

I use remay and am very pleased with it, I don't think there is a lack of sun light under it.

Does Remay really block that much sun?
