As much manure as you can load in. As many leaves as you can till in. For remineralization consider Azomite from Fertrell, Greensand or granular Ironite. To this I add some kelp meal, some corn meal and lots of fish and molasses as I work it up. I try to be ready to do all this the the week following weigh off. To do this the materials need, to be brought in and stored. Finally I plant the cover crop of rye grass that same week or soon there after.
Then I turn facing the setting sun and ask myself a question, "What the heck will I do with all the time I now have, on my hands"? It does seem like there is a void for a week or two. The wife has a list, of honey do stuff that soon fills the void.
