Do wheel shape pumpkins tend to go light or heavy?
Thanks, Brooks

I have seen them go both ways. Shape isnt always an indication of how heavy it will be. I usually can tell by knocking or by the weight of the fruit when its little. Sometimes you can tell that one fruit will be heavier than another by comparing them when they are round volley ball to basketball size.
I have one heck of a wheel shaped fruit and i feel its on charts or heavy.

wheels will generally go heavy but alot depends on the volume of the "bowl" (blossom indent)and how you actually measure the circ.

brooks let it run and wait for the scale...the wheel shaped one i'm watching this year started growing out and the blossom end is almost consumed ...literally...and it's BIG!!!

Most tend to run heavy. But it's hard to get an accurate measurment a lot of times because of the odd shape. Take a look at the one in my 2003 diary. It was seven kinds of ugly, but it went way heavy by my best measurement.
