We need more good growers in the Pacific Northwest! There are some mighty big pumpkins grown out this way!

other than weather ( cold climate areas ) i dont think it really matters
if you have the soil-seeds-sun-good growing skills-you can grow a big pumpkin just about anywhere
lots of things can be done to start in a cool climate as long as the summers and early fall are 75 to 90 degrees average
i do like the fact that in canada the days during the summer are longer than here on the east coast
