Who knew gardening could be dangerous? As some of you already know I have been suffering a great deal of pain in my right arm for a couple of weeks. I finally went to the doctor and discovered I have a torn tricep insertion tendon at the elbow as well as a strained tricep origin tendon in the shoulder. It must have happened while I was moving the fruit off the 905 after it split. That's the only time I can remember pushing on anything with enough force to do that kind of damage.
So for heavens sake, with the weigh-offs fast approaching, think, and be careful out there!

Monty, you do not know how right your are, and not just this time of year. During the early spring I was shoveling some really good german cow crap (GGCC) and felt a twinge in my elbow. Turns out I had tenis elbow for 2 months after that, pain in the...well you know. Take care, be safe and follow Monty's warning, year round!

whoever invented the lifting harness that has come about over the last few years has saved numerous backs.

last year i shoveled so much manure (gotta take advantage of those warm spring days) that now my lower spine makes cracking sounds just like my knuckles! probably not too good for only being 26.
