My leave started dying off the first week in august. It's not PM and its not SVB. I'm Wondering if it's from the diazinon I sprayd with this year and the past two years where the same thing happened. I have a verry healthy pumpkin on the plant and I'm wondering if it will stay good until the end of september? I would be greatful for any input. Thanks...... Andrew

Black,Here is what I found out when I couldnt get a fruit to set on the 1370 Rose untill later Aug,I kinda just let this plant go since there wasnt any fruit on it early enough. So since the middle of july I have only sprayed Fungicide and pesticide one time each and used Neptunes Fish and Seaweed as a foil spray once every two weeks and the leaves really look healthy on this plant compared to the ones I been spraying regularly with pesticides, fungicides and fish and seaweed. I think alot of us are over spraying our leaves in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. Over spraying is one thing I thought might be a cause, but I just want to hear what other people have to say from pryor experience. Thanks.......Andrew.

Sorry to hear about this. I think Diazinon is a insecticide. Unless you over applied it and burnt the leaves I don't think that could be the source. Have you cut a stem and checked for bacterial wilt? When my leaves were dying earlier this season it was because I over fertilized with nitrogen, triple phosphate. Plus, I think I over-watered a bit. Then, the first week of August I took a hiatis on the fertilizing and just used epsom salt and weak 20-20-20 and all August the leaves look much better. Hope you can stop it. Greg Greg
