Thanks Ray, but like I said, I'm just strapping a harness to Edgar and letting him haul it to the truck.

Ray, can your tarps be "used" like the strap lifters? What I mean by that...are the tarps of strong enough material that they can be lifted by a tractor.....I would guess that if I had one, I would "clevis" the four corners (hand holes) and lift it with a front end loader....can I get by with that?

1320, Do what you will but strap lifters are strap lifters and tarps are tarps. I have used it like that before - they are well made but not to be abused anymore that any other device. The whole idea is to protect the pumpkin and your back! /Ray

1320... i used the straps to lift the pumpkin and then place the tarp under it...then looped the straps threw the handles of the tarp lift it back up and loaded it in the back of the truck..it works

The Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Growers Association sells strap lifters. Go to the web site using Google and "PGPGA". There you can see the lifter used, by a very high percentage, of all weigh off sites and many growers.
Yes the sale, of these lifters helps support, our prize structure and debth, of pay, to the winners.
Please do not wait until the last minute, to call. We have had nice inquiry this year. Time and our carefully designed lifting rings are running out.
