1367.5 day 61 measurements 167, 100, 96 OTT 363 for 1002 pounds. Nearly 5 inches of rain in the last three days has me biting my nails, but it's still solid.

Thanks guys. I find myself checking it for splits every few hours now. Tomorrow will be the telling day since the sun will be out and the water will really start moving through the plant. If she makes it through tomorrow, I'll breathe a little easier.
HAHA, yes Rog, your are definately on the list. Hopefully this fruit will have more seeds than the 684 did.

Wow Monty, that is an awesome accomplishment for a first year grower of these giants, even if you had gardening experience before. My hat is off to you!

Hey Keith, you have had a rough year buddy. I'm sure you will be right up there next year. Don Chambers has a couple of big ones going at his place. One way or another the new WV record will be 4 digits.

I'll do the best I can Jerry. Not much I can do anyway with one arm in a sling (torn tendon) and the other in a pillow cast (ulnar neuropothy). Just watching and waiting now. There are some small cracks opening up around the stem area, nothing I would really call a split and all are bleeding. So far I'm not overly worried...yeah right. My plan of attack is to keep my stupid hands off it now and hope the dry weather in the forcast holds for a while.
