I Heard an urgent SCREAM come from my wife, As I came running, expecting blood? I was temporarly relieved, & amused when I found out it was a RAT! Upon further investagation It was disheartening to see that they started carving ANNS GOLDEN GLOBE entry all along the bottom!!!! Last year I had a nest under my largest pumpkin 798 //// As the weather changes the rodents start hunkering down for WINTER.. Can you think of any better location than unnder an AG... ALL rodents had a gift left of blue candy packaged in yellow boxes..

Pulp Mill Fabris on sand helps to discourage this activity longer than Decon especially in wet weather. Talon Weatherblok holds better in rain but the plastic Bell Protecta commercial bait stations can keep any baited poison fresher longer. One just has to remember to check & reload bait stations since even a moderate rodent infestation can empty a bait station in short order.

For the "do it yourselfer grower". Just build a wooden triangle bird house with the entry hole close the bottom. Hinge one side of the roof for cleaning. Cost....absolutely nothing with used scrap lumber.

Remember the gray squirrel is a rat. It or they will enter your bait stations too. Any bait station that feeds poison, to a rat, gets the rat and any smaller critter that will eat the poison.

Rodent problems need to be taken care of by preventive measures early in the Spring before the "problem" multiplies, and continued throughout the season. Many an 800#er has been lost by waiting until it's too late!
