All the leaves died on my plant from powdery mildew dispite treatment early on. I have a nice pumpkin on the plant and I'm wondering if i should harvest it or not. I'm wondering how lng the pumpkin will hold up before any kind of decay might start.....BV

If the pumpkin is mature I would leave it on. Same thing happened to me last year and mine was kept on a leafless plant for 1.5 months. Juice still runs through the vine.

I say leave it also. To help with next year... How often did you spray the plant and with what products? Just my 2 cents I would spray with daconil at least once a week starting in july.

I would say change fungicides to a multi product rotation. Your milldew may have become resistant to your single use of the same fungicide.
While my experience is only three years deep I have had great success and no apparent resistance, to the use, of Neem Oil with Baking Soda added. It also appears, to me, that the early, to middle season, leaf condition seems better when using Neam Oil as long as it will maintain control.
Going along with the above comments I have used less, of all fungicides because, of placement, from a fogger. The net result may be stronger and better growth from less harsh chemical runoff, to the soil and better effective placement, of both insecticides and fungicides.

Adding to the above. Neam Oil has a label that is easy to understand. The label advises no combinations. We have found that baking soda is not a problem when added at the rate of two tablespoons level filled to the gallon of mix. Heat during hot days carries a warning as do most labels. If advisements are followed there should be no adverse affect, from it's use. It is an insecticide, mild fungicide and miticide approved for proper use, in organic approved acreage.
