This message was just to tell everyone that i am ok from the storm. My house got 6 inches of water and about a quarter inch of nasty mud. My pumpkins are buried under crud. My front yard is pretty trashed and my tree in the backyard is flipped sideways. When i get the chance i will put pics into my daries of the devestation. After the storm the military people told us that we had to pick up important items to us (i live on a military base) from our house. So i got a tube about 50 gallons i think maybe less of my most precious items to me. My family thinks since the base is pretty trashed that they are going to shut it down and tear down every single house in there even if it is ok. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me!! I am at my g-mas right now which is in saint louis. So i am safe but my dad is still down there because he is the military person in my family. So still pray for him becuase he maybe down there for a year possible.

Thank God that you are ok. Is everyone ok? Just because you are ok, that does not mean that the prayers have stopped. You and your family take care bud. Still praying for you and your family and all the others that were affected by the disaster.

Whew, bud when my wife and I saw the pictures of Biloxi we feared the worst. I told her "there's a grower down there". She couldn't believe y'all stayed. I have been through a few hurricanes myself the worst being Hugo. I was in the Navy and stationed in Charleston, SC where we took a direct hit. I can't imagine what Katrina must have been like. God Bless you and your folks. Good to hear you are OK.

Well we were in a shelter on the air force base down there and it wasnt to bad. we lost power on monday morning but we had emergency generators for some of the outlets. It was hot and kinda boring but i meet some of my dads coworkers so it was kinda cool. Part of the time while there was nothing to do i read How to grow world class giant pumpkins 1 and 2. I really want to read 3 but i havent seen it in any stores. I ate MREs(meal ready to eat) for lunch and dinner sometimes and the ones i ate were acutally pretty good. thank u again everyone.

turkey, those meals have kept our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines alive for a long time. i think your description of them is a bit off base.

Hey some of the mres are really good. There was this berry cobler thingy ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was good i wish i had another. It was really cool today in Saint Louis they are doing a Japanese festival and well one the actractions was bonsai. It was really cool, it made me miss my pumpkin really bad. There was also some sumo people. One of the persons weights was somewhere around 500 pounds. I purches a book called "The perfect pumpkin" so its been pretty informative but most of the stuff i already know just wanted another pumpkin book. The base down there currently has power so my mom and my bro and me might go back down there to stay with my dad. I dont know. I dont think it will happen but if it does it would be good because i worry about my dad having to work all day and then getting no sleep because he worries about us. Sadly i have no before and after pics of my pumpkin growing area on this computer but i might on the other one. Thanks again everyone.
