I just got back my first soil analysis report and am having trouble understanding what to do with the numbers I've been given. Is there an article that explains the report in easy terms? How do I know what to amend my soil with? Thanks for your help. -Creek

Check the links page of the GVGO website and click on the link A & L Sample Report with Reference Guide Explanations. This will help you understand your soil report. Hope this helps.

Thanks Phil, I've printed that out and will read it tonight. Andy, I'm embarrassed to say I don't know how to e-mail my report to you. I got it hard copy. I could mail it. I also have a friend that might be able to help me get it to you electronically. I'll keep trying and thank you both for helping out. It's a whole new area for me so there is definitely a learning curve.

which lab did you use? the majority of my data comes from A&L labs, but i have many others for you to compare to also. you could just type out the numbers if you want to. that would work.

Andy, This year I brought in horse maneur and dumped five large truck loads in five mounds, mixed in some of the soil, and this is where I planted the pumpkins. I got a soils test from these spots too. How do these numbers look with the amendment? If you think it will help, I could easily get more maeuer and spread it over the whole field. Do the numbers say this is helpful? Thanks again for your help.
