Whew, Todd. That was a close one. For a second there I thought the secret of the big one was out. I see you only let the reporter in on one of the smaller ones...
See you Saturday...

Good Luck Todd. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'll see you at St. Johns. Nice job.

Atta boy! That kind, of chatter makes life interesting. Good luck, on your finish. May the scales be, in your favor.

The same article was published on the Boston Globe website as well: http://www.boston.com/news/local/new_hampshire/articles/2005/09/19/michigan_grower_hopes_giant_pumpkin_will_set_world_record/

Why doesn't Guiness consider the Carlson/Peterson 1432 the world record?

What was wrong with the Eaton Pumpkin? I guess I haven't been tracking Guiness's record.

It sounds like the MI growers have a big one for St. Johns I plan on being there Friday afternoon. The St. Johns weigh-off at Andy T's will be the first GPC event in north America and we will be unveiling the direct link to BP with real time results. I believe we should have some curious on lookers to see how big that pumpkin really is I am looking forward to seeing it first hand.

Good point, JMattW, the Eaton 1446 slipped my mind. Maybe the grower has to ask Guiness to consider it a record and they never bothered.

Guiness takes a few years to catch up to these things.
