Your father is certainly in the spirit! I can't say... but it's your call on whether those bubblies will fit nicely inside the envelope. I guess you can get creative with the bubblies by cutting them up into 4 or 8 in squares. Would that work so the seeds can be sandwiched between them?

You could get proper bubble packs, self address them, and then pack them inside the manila envelopes to send to possible seed donors.
At the beginning of this season, thinking I would need to send out for oodles of seeds, I bought about 20 bubblies for something like 19 cents each. I haven't used a single one yet. Everybody who has sent me seeds has provided a bubble pack and postage (even when they were from Germany). So, you probably don't need as many as you may think.

I agree with the idea of cutting the bubble wrap into smaller pieces, fold it over and tape it up with one end open. . .put that in a self-addressed envelope. . .

Crammed, bubblies must be a petroleum by-product, or I am shopping at the wrong place...5 pack of them at Wal-Mart are now at $2.12...approx. 42.5 cents each. Still cheap for what comes in them. The most exciting things for me last winter was opening bubblies and checking out the seeds. Almost better than Christmas. Peace Wayne

I had trouble finding Bubble-Packs in reasonable quantities at reasonable prices until I found this site. 50 Bubble-Packs for $15 including shipping and I got them in 4 days.
