I just discovered that my second "mostly for fun" pumpkin has a really thin wall on top. It could be from internal rot. But, it also could be from a strange pollination (one of two of the ovaries didn't develop).
In any event, it's so thin that it moves when I press on it. But, it still seems to be in tact. So, is it still legal as long as there is no hole or rot that reaches the outside of the skin?
I wasn't really planning on taking it to a weigh-off. But, there's still time for me to decide if I'll take it to Niagara, or open it up and roast the seeds for my softball team.
(spell-checked using Google Toolbar. I LOVE that feature!!!)

Take her to Port Elgin !! As long as there is NO hole it should be allright.

Agreed! The best part of growing is the comraderie & friendships that grow out of the weigh-offs!
Be carefull handling your entry & get there!

This sounds like a problem, in the making. Take it but do not be disappointed if it goes down, in the handling.
Take a bucket along, to recover the seed, if the worst should appear.
