As another season wraps up, I see my vines dying back and my patch emptying out as we load up to head to the big weighoff this weekend...I'm surrounded by the friends I have made this year growing pumpkins, I remember the mistakes I made and the lessons I learned from making them, I remember the big dreams I had for my 898x845 crosses, and I'm thankful that I was able to be a pumpkin grower again this year! Thanks to all of you who helped, supported, encouraged, and allowed me to grow another personal best this year. It has been a great journey. Good luck to everyone at the weighoffs!

This year the 946.5 Ligorreta and the 853 Pugh were grown from my patch. The first was grown on our 1068 Wallace plant and the second was grown on our 805 Pukos plant. We also had a nice one on our 1101 Northrup (the 791 Pugh)...which was 163 pounds heavy! Yes, very orange, and very heavy!!! The 1101 Northrup was the pollinator for the 1068 Wallace Fruit (which went 109 pounds heavy itself). I think that the 946.5 Ligoretta is going to grow some nice fruit nest year!
