I want to send out a special thanks to Mr. Don Chambers aka Perriman on BP.com for his assistance in loading my first ever giant pumpkin. I built the tripod, had the lifting ring made, and managed to get a truck at the last second. Without Don's help, it never would have made it into the bed of the truck. THANKS DON!
What a chore that was, but it is sitting snugly in the bed of my brother in laws truck with barely an inch to spare. Pics will be coming up in my diary after the weigh-off in Canfield tomorrow.
I want to give a thanks to my good friend Mr. Charles Richard (Dick) Corbin as well. His welding expertise created a very fine lifting ring that never stressed or yeilded and worked perfectly!
I'll see you in Canfield!

Thanks guys. It's not the state record though. It went right to the charts, taping 1105 and weighing 1095. Scott Wotring of Aurora, WV weighed in at 1157 over at the PA weigh off. Great job Scott!

Great job in your first year, surely a contender for Rookie Of The Year Award, if there is such an award.

HAHAHA Tom!

I'll be growing again next year Scott. You sure brought that one in under the radar :) I'll see if I can give you a little more competition next season.

Keith, you better dust of the shovel and get in there. Don Chambers isn't growing next year, so you have to haul in a big one to help keep WV on the pumpkin map!
