I have found this seed been listed in several websites as an heirloom seed, dating to pre 1824 and having been recorded at over 250 lbs. It is described as a light pink to orange color. Does anyone have a picture of this variety? I have not found a picture anywhere on the web. I think it would be most interesting to procure some of these seeds.

I don't mean to sound rude...but do you really think that 175 year old pumpkin seeds are still viable?

The Giant Mammoth is one of the varieties Howard Dill used to create the Atlantic Giant. It is available through several seed houses.

There is a picture of a Mammoth Gold (aka King of Mammoth, Mammoth of Chile) at this link:

It is the pumpkin on the far right.

Thanks very much everyone! By the looks of it it isn't that bad looking! And yeah, it's interesting to know that Giant Mammoth was one of varieties Howard Dill used!
