Anyone know the parents to this pumpkin weighed at Topsfield this year? Big and beautiful.

i spoke to Bruce at the weigh-off that pumpkin had been off the vine since the beggining of september, so no doubt it would have been plus 1000 pounds.

The pumpkin was as gorgeous as everyone is saying. It was cut from the vine or it rather rotted from the vine. Bruce found the stem problem after suspecting something when he recorded no growth in september. The pumpkin was put into his shed with a fan on it. It is funny cuz they didn't even think it was going to go 900. Bruce had a pretty tough year; everything split on him. Heck of a cross. I believe that his 1180 split at 983 pounds.? DK
