wow thanks for the post. This will be my first season trying to sculpt as opposed to just carve a pumpkin. I doubt it will come out as good those!

He has some very good sculptures. You growers thinking of sculpting, will find Atlantic Giants are not like field pumpkins. The flesh is softer,and wetter. I find the best tools are a clay removal tool, a good carrot peeler, and a 1 1/2 " Galvanized Pipe with a 30° and 45° angle for removing large amounts of flesh.

very nice site. amazing detail for field pumpkins. i would imagine those are tougher to do than what we grow.

I also used a drywall rasp and a set of wood carving chissels.
