This year (just like every year) was full of surprises. Some good, some not so good.
The good: Grew two pumpkins bigger than my personal best last year.
The not so good: Had a mouse scar up my pumpkin enough to be considered DMG
What to do for next year: Find a way to prevent a mouse from making my pumpkin a house.
This is where you come in, what do you use to put under or around your pumpkin to deter rodents. Keep in mind that I know poison will work but am looking for a deterrent not an eradicator.

Look at Joe Ailts' (Joze) diary from 2004. He was using rubber snakes, and it seemed to be working.
