I grew an 721.5 Vincent this past year ( from seeduknown soil in the lawn beside my house end of May) and ended up with an 400 lb pumpkin, I crossed it with 839 Hunt for Colour I'll be growing this seed from this fruit in 2006, along with 2 other seeds which i collected in 2005 but never had the space to grow.

My 721.5 Vincent may be a dimond in the rough. I grew one as a main plant and one as a back up. I set fruit on both plants. The growth we got on those fruit was by far greater than any other we had in the patch including some big guns like, 1016 Daletas, 1097 Beachy, 1068 Wallace. The back up plant just never got very large, late planting, tough soil, heat stress etc. I set one fruit about 10 ft out. It ran out of gas after about 40 days and was harvested early at 363 lbs. The total plant size was about 150 ft2. On the main plant, I set one on a secondary about 6 ft out. Again, the best early growth in the patch. and again slowed to a crawl at about 40 days and finnished at 451 est. This pumpkin also had the highest peak gain/ day in the patch. Several other growers tried this one this year and all were impressed with the explosive growth. The fruit tend to be bean bag shaped and pink to light orange colour. They all have very thick walls and I have yet to here of one with any splits. Sorry to put a plug in for my own seed. I still have some available if anyone is interested. Also, my best plant and pumpkin this year is off the 1016 Daletas. If I can get another, I will grow it again. John
