Just wondering if a pumpkin continues to darken once picked? mines a light creamish color starting to turn orange in spots its been picked and was wondering if placed in a sunny location will it darken up for halloween>

yes, if the genetics are orange, it will orange up more after being picked if it wasn't full color when it was picked. It will even orange up not in the sun. Jimmy

No Place Special

The 881.5 I took to the Iowa state fair was only 64 days old or so at harvest. It was pink mostly at that time but two weeks later it was MUCH darker.
