Small kids who weigh 80 lbs and under I would have no problem climbing up on my pumpkin just for their entertainment or a picture. But what if you get a really big, and rough kid who wants to plop down on your pumpkin. 120 pound attention seeking 9 year old is probably very dangerous to the well being of your pumpkin. If these kids or very imature adults decide to climb upon the pumpkin, will it cave in? Or a these things built like boulders. I know already a nice hard bone smacking the side will create a dent. Have you gotten those ambitious people climbing up on your pumpkin who give it no respect?

I am not sure but that could be a good strategy at a weighoff. Send some chubby kids in to wipe out the competition. Might be the only way I win anything.

When I broke my 650 Est. while loading a few weeks back it had two chunks out of the blossom end and a large crack on top. I lowered the bucket on top of the fruit in order to break it into smaller chunks and move it, but the front wheels of the tractor came off the ground instead. I think they can bear a lot more weight than we realize.

I weigh about 195 and plopped my rear up on my 500 pounder for a picture and it felt solid as a rock!

If a 9 year old crushes your pumpkin you need better seeds! LOL!

Seriously we talk about this all the time but I guess if your pumpkin really does get severely damaged, well then you have a right to ask for the full rate from the responsible adult... $1.00/lb !!! A sign like that in front of it and ain't nobody touchin it! hahaha

Jeff- haven't heard from you in a while. Hope I didn't piss ya off the other day. -Jim
