This is a repeat question but a very good one. What percentage is lost when you terminate the main at the fruit stem? Ponder this, I grew the 1125 Frantz and terminated the main at the fruit stem do to poor positioning. It grew to 992 pounds. I left the trailing vine continue to grow and the next pumpkin which was already pollinated grow on it. It grew to 396 pounds. Of the 396 pounds how much would have been added to the 992 if it wasn’t terminated?

I've never gotten significant increased growth on a main vine pumpkin after culling one over 300# off a secondary.
