I was just wondering, Andy Wolf increased his PB about 500 pounds within 2 years. That has to be pretty near a record. So who else has increased his or her PB 500 lbs or more within, 2 years? There are probably more out there then I think there are.

Andy, sure did a great job this year. I'm hoping when he releases his results next month that he can demonstrate some type of pattern from all of the soil testing he has done. I understand how much effort it takes to get your soil in top shape.
A few growers have started out the first year in the 1000 pound club. Guys like me have to work hard just to reach a respectable level. In 04 I gained 622 with the help of BP.com

I want to speak up for the little guys out there! My first 4 years of growing, I had no where to grow except super small areas around my house. We are talking 10 sq foot of soil to around 95 sq foot of soil in southern california. I always did my best and had a pb of 361. I know that there are many other growers out there with no chance to show their potential. They have all the knowledge and experience to grow a nice fruit, but never had the growing area. This year I had my dream full filled by God's grace. I got a 380 sq foot area of soil at a friends house and improved my pb by 500 lbs with the 861 Fredricks/George. Unfortunately it split and didn't reach it's potential, but sure was fun. So for all you growers out there in limited areas, hang in there, always do your best, and be proud of your pumpkins no matter what size they are! Jimmy

These large increases in PB, I think give hope to those of us who haven't broke 700lbs. yet. Very inspiring!

Word to Jimmy. I'm living that pain right now... a 50 sq ft shaded growing area in the middle of the city! One day I'll have a huge sunny area and then... look the hell out!

I went from 873 to 878.8....5.8 lb increase of PB...at that rate it will be 4 more years before 900 and like 20 years before I reach 1000.
