It is not that hard..get a flexible fabric ruler. Measure Circumference Parallel with ground. RECORD Then throw the tape measure over the stem end so it touches the ground, bring it OVER THE TOP towards the blossum end allow it to touch the ground. RECORD Now measure Left side to Right Side allowing the tape measure to contact the ground. RECORD Now add all three together..put that on the chart and viola your estimated weight.

Hi Peter
Do the measuring just as Shannon has described above, which is also given in the information at the website Link he has directed you to. At the botton of that page of information there is a set of pictures showing someone taking the measurements as described. When you have a set of 3 measurements add them all up and you then need to use the Weight Estimation Chart, available via PDF download at this link http://www.bigpumpkins.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=57

It is advisable to print this chart out as you will have it to hand whenever you need it. Now, take the total sum of inches that you obtaind by adding up the 3 measurements and look down the left hand column, marked inches, in the TOP Chart on the printed sheet. The coresponding number in the right hand column, marked Lbs, is your estimated weight.

If you need any explanation or further help with anything that you are unsure about i am always willing to spend as much time as you like having a chat over the telephone. If you are interested send me an Email to [email protected] and i will Email my home telephone number to you by return Email.

Regards
Mike
