Well my question is do females just show up where new growth is or do they just appear at random spots on the vine. When my plant was alive(died in hurricane) the only spot the females shows up was where the new growth was and thats why i asked my question.

As the main and side vines progressively grow, both Male And female flowers are being produced in the Vine tips. As the vines grow longer the males and Females, along with side vines, become more apparent and visible.

Short i know but hope that helps.
