This was a fantastic year for AG growers all over the world. Here are just a couple of the events that took place:
New World Record: 1469 Checkon 05 (Estimated at 1788.8 lbs!)
Breakout Year for Some Growers: 1443 Palmer 05 1407.3 Wolf 05 1233.5 Reiss 05 (beautiful pumpkin, and new European record) 1048 Jones 05 (Most deserving grower to bust 1000)
New World Record True Green Squash: 1063.5 MacKenzie 05*
2 More over 1000 lbs: 1018 Swarts 05* 1003 MacKenzie 05* (2 over 1000 in same year!)
Seed of the year: 1068 Wallace 03 (When was the last time a seed had so much success!) 848 MacKenzie 04* (This one will be planted by many true green lovers next year!)

Two UK records 720.5 Hallam 05* 1048 Jones 05 (uow) first 1000+ British pumpkin (sorry had to mention him again)

I would mention the 3 first in Topsfield are from NH.

The CT State record (851.8 Reynolds '04) was bested by 4 pumpkins this year.
1081 Leonzi '05 (845 Bobier '00 x 898 Knauss '01) 1057 Williams '05 (1058 Papez '01 x 846 Jutras '03) 972 Garrell '05 (827 Garrell '04 x 898 Knauss '01) 942 Garrell '05 (898 Knauss '01 x self - pollinator of the 972)
To see our State's record fall by 230lbs is pretty impressive.

I'd like to put up Kevin Marsh. A new South Dakota record at 1325.5, plus an 881 and 872.5 this year. The rate Kevin increases his personal best, he'll be topping 3000 pounds in 3-4 years!

The growers in Napa, California had a good year in 2005.
Here are the Napa totals for this year.... 1 - over 1200 lbs. 5 - 1100 to 1199 lbs. 3 - 1000 to 1099 lbs.
also add to this total 2 - 1000 to 1099 officially weighed dmg's That totals 11 over 1000 lbs. for this small little town.
(Napa growers also had 6 pumpkins in the 900 to 1000 lb. range in 2005)

How about Mr. Roger Howard from Indiana! He had a pb and new state record this year with 1273.5!!
