The CT State record (851.8 Reynolds '04) was bested by 4 pumpkins this year.

1081 Leonzi '05 (845 Bobier '00 x 898 Knauss '01)
1057 Williams '05 (1058 Papez '01 x 846 Jutras '03)
972 Garrell '05 (827 Garrell '04 x 898 Knauss '01)
942 Garrell '05 (898 Knauss '01 x self - pollinator of the 972)

To see our State's record fall by 230lbs is pretty impressive.

I'd like to put up Kevin Marsh. A new South Dakota record at 1325.5, plus an 881 and 872.5 this year. The rate Kevin increases his personal best, he'll be topping 3000 pounds in 3-4 years!

Napa Valley, CA

The growers in Napa, California had a good year in 2005.

Here are the Napa totals for this year....
1 - over 1200 lbs.
5 - 1100 to 1199 lbs.
3 - 1000 to 1099 lbs.

also add to this total 2 - 1000 to 1099 officially weighed dmg's
That totals 11 over 1000 lbs. for this small little town.

(Napa growers also had 6 pumpkins in the 900 to 1000 lb. range in 2005)
