Did anyone grow the 673 Kuhn or know of anyone who did?
Seeing that it is the same cross as the 1068 Wallace I was wondering what it produced. Vince

There are numerous 898 Knauss x 845 Bobier crosses and their reverse crosses which have been made. Genetically it is argubaly the best cross ever. The 1068 Wallace was very successful this year because it was carefully grown by many talented growers...and it is dynamite genetically. I believe that many of the other identical crosses would be just as successful if they were as enthusiastically and widely grown by top growers. You have to hand it to the Wallaces, they did a great job of getting their seeds grown by top growers. I was fortunate enough to grow one this year...it was my best plant and my largest fruit (947 pounds). I look forward to growing one of my own "generic" 898x845 crosses to see how it compares.

I would argue the 935 x 865 cross is the best ever.

I agree that the 723 Bobier and the 845 Bobier (both are 935 Lloyd x 865 Mettler crosses) are the two best SEEDS ever. However, I think that the 898x845 CROSS is better because it seems to be a great cross consistently regardless of the grower. 1068 Wallace, 1133 Demers, 1104 Hester, just to name a few of the more prominent 898x845 crosses. They are all great, regardless of the name of the grower. You also could make an argument along the same lines for the 723x846 cross as well. With these great crosses I believe that it is simply a matter of getting talented growers to grow them...and exceptionally big pumpkins will be grown.
