Free, find a horse stable, or cow farm, or what ever you want, and most are happy to give it away

Its measured in yards at the places I have shopped. My truck holds about 2.5 yards.
Price- I think it was 9.00/yard??? Maybe 7.00
Guess its cheaper in Canada, unless we arent both talking US dollars. Eh, close enough.

Here we pay $10 for a p/up load of steer manure (2 to 3 yards) whatever your truck can hold.
The city sells its compost for $7 per yard.

Okay, I feel like I've been violated. No more paying for manure.

I grew up on a farm
Never knew you could sell the stuff
I'm sure there are places you could have it if you you shovel it

I went to the neighbor down the road who is a big dairy farmer.I told him what I was looking for. He said, Brian down the road on the dirt road on the left is a huge pile. Some of it is two years old and some is three years old. I asked what he wanted for it. Nothing.Take all you want it's only laying there doing nothing. So I went home and got my bucket tractor and truck with a dump trailor.
So what did it cost? Just being nice to the guy and treating him like a friend.... Price less

We get our manure for free and at the end of the season gave the lady a big pumpkin of ours i know she wanted nothing for it but we said if it wasnt for your manure we would not be growing and we will continue to give her a big pumpkin because as it turns out she has many gardeners come for manure but none have ever brought her anything from there gardens as a thanks and so now she got to show her grandsons bessy weighing 49.00pds and now that halloweens over the horses are using it as a toy and doing there own carving i just hope they left no seeds inside or her pasture and the manure will have seeds in it. Have fun everyone

David, don't feel bad,us southern california growers have lots of disadvantages lol, we even have to pay more for manure since we don't live in a farm or ranch area. 7 to 10 bucks a yard is a good price here. Jim

I know that my trainer would gladly let someone collect all his horse manure-as it is now he has to pay extra to the city to use a dumpster that picks it up every week. It sure would be cheaper for him!
I think most smaller places especially would be happy to get rid of their manure around here.
