Okay, this is a good discussion. I didn't want to steal the below related thread, but I have another question based upon Jerry's response in the previous thread. How many growers rotate their patches? And Jerry, I'd wait to ask you in Niagara, but I'm going to forget, but do you do anything to your patches during the off years? soil tests, amendments, etc. or do you just let them sit?

add manure and buckwheat through summer then winter rye in fall.although i think i'm gonna go with some round up ready alapha this year on the patch i'll be using 2 years from now and keep doing that for the future putting on alot of manure just before i plant the alapha then no more manure until after pumpkins are planted there.Jerry
