Still trying to find out who else has either received my bubbles with the seeds, or who got a note saying they where destroyed by customs.
thanks, owen
BTW, I have sent a email to the German customs office asking them what the procedures are over here for me to do it right next time.

Not today...no seeds. Then again there's no bubble with a nasty note in it either. Maybe tomorrow???

This is what i dont understand about these morons, why cant they just put the seeds back into the bubble and send it back to the person who sent it? The seed is going back to the same place it came from so why destroy it and then send A empty package with a note in it bragging they destroyed a tiny seed. The least these Power tripping agents with only a GED could do is send it back to the sender, right? These agents want you to think these seeds go into a red hazmat baggy and a guy then has to suit up into a pertective jumpsuit with a mask just to carry the seed into a chamber where its scrubbed 30 times then destroyed by burning it at 9000 degrees. Sheshhh!

Just thinking, maybe the 'Person' telling his minnions in Customs to confiscate seed packages has become an AG Grower !!! Now, that's a thought

So far all the bubbles that safely arrived have been on the east coast. The ones that didn't make it seem to all be in the mid-west, or at least it seems that way. I guess that there are different ports of entry and the customs guys are simply more proficient, or have more time due to less mail?
Sorry again guys that Brooks and Vic's seeds didn't make it. Not sure how I will make it up to you. Customs here has not responded to my email asking for some direction on doing it correctly.

Mike, the reason you haven't gotten a reply is because they are busy destroying pumpkin seeds.

Brad You are spot on there buddy, i think someone needs to go and take a look at the gardens of Customs officials come next October. Chances are there may very well be some very nice Pumpkins and/or Squash Growing !
I also think that the Customs Officials monitor this Website to read the posts pertaining to our discussions about them and our Seed Trading activities. It would not be the first time that Government Officials silently monitored Websites to gain knowlege.
Just my Half Pennies worth

From the U. S. Customs And Border Protection website:
"Mail entering the United States from abroad arrives first at the U.S. Postal Service. The Postal Service then sends packages to U.S. Customs for examination and to assess duty, if indeed any is owed. Customs processing is required for civilian parcels as well as for those sent from overseas military postal facilities (APO/FPO)."
The chances of sending seeds to the US are gettinger smaller...because they treat it as an act of bioterrorism...no wonder so many seeds will be destroyed that way...be happy they won´t set you on their most wanted list as well...
