As I sit in my home here in Oklahoma and watch the news on tv. I realize how blessed I am.

Even though I had to leave work and retire early from unforseen illnes, I still am blessed.

I see the people in New Orleans and other parts of the world that are suffering due to somones laziness or discrimination or whatever people choose to call the evils of others.

I ask every day of my life,( and i'm sure that I will never get a answer ) why do people harm and hurt others in this world.

It seems that it all comes down to one thing money and greed.

I guess they're are other reasons that people do things to others.

If I could get a answer to one prayer, I think I would ask god to just end all the evil in the world, but I know that will never be answered.

Well amongst all the things going on, I just want to wish Everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and May next year be a little better for someone that is in need in this world.

If you Don't like the word Christmas, Please don't read this.

Yes Christmas! If the term Christmas offends someone then I am offended that they are offended. The people that would be offended by the word Christmas should really look at where that comes from. It should tell them a great deal about themselves.

I look at it this way, and yes I just had this discussion with someone of another faith.
They told me that they were sick of Christmas being forced on them for 2 months, while "nothing is done for their faith"....
Instead of these folks of different faiths trying to stop us from celebrating, something that has been going on for centuries, why not use that energy to try to increase awareness of their faith, ya dont see the rest of us trying to stop them?!
This country has gone way overboard with the whole political correctness business, we went to my daughters Winter Holiday concert (lets not call it Christmas concert and offend anyone), not one song was a traditional Christmas song!
WTF!

bohica(Tom), My insurance man is Jewish. Every year I send him a Hannukah card and he sends me a Christmas card. This year he also gave me two hockey tickets because he was out of town and could not attend. He wrote on the envelop "Happy Hannukah and Merry Christmas". I hope that did not offend any non believers. I strongly object to what is shown on television. Too much sex and other perversions for my family. But I am always told that if I did not like it to change the channel. So if the non believers do not like Christmas well change the channel or go to a different store, or find like others to associate with during this time of the year. Jesus is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas.

I have no problem listening to anyone tell me about there faith. And I'm sorry if anyone has a problem with the season. But regardless of what you believe, the bottom line to the season is peace on Earth and good will toward men. I think all faiths should be able to come together over that.

Until recently, I had never considered that saying "Happy Holidays" was a form of appeasement. Rather I used it to conserve speach. I have a lot of Jewish friends & often find myself either greeting or bidding farewell to friends in groups. What are going to do? Shall we keep a mental list of all present & address each one by faith? Nahhh. I'm too lazy & life is too short for all that.

So....To my fellow Christians....Merry Christmas!

To ALL of my non-Christian freinds....Happy Holidays!

I wish All the VERY BEST!
