I hope this list is correct. The number behind each grower is the number of times he or she has made the top 5 since 1995. Larry and Gerry Checkon are seen as one grower. :)
1995 1. 975 Zehr (1) 2. 963 Zehr (2) 3. 939 Emmons (1) 4. 914 Larue (1) 5. 887 Orr (1)
1996 1. 1006 Greer (1) 2. 917 Zehr (3) 3. 909.5 Lloyd (1) 4. 897.5 Larue (2) 5. 897 McIntyre (1)
1997 1. 1025 Armstrong (1) 2. 1018 Black (1) 3. 1016 Larue (3) 4. 977 Andersen (1) 5. 935 Lloyd (2)

This list proves that it is pretty much impossible to predict the winners for 2006. New (top-5) growers appear each year in the top 5.
People to watch out for are Eaton, Larue, Checkon and Rose. The chance that at least one of these will appear in the 2006 list is pretty high. At least two of them have appeared in the top 5 for the past three years.

Nice list but I think there are some errors in it.
in 1998 the 1092 Burke (935 Lloyd x self) was the largest fruit grown.
Also in 1997 I thought the 997 Andersen was the largest official fruit grown that year.
when was the 1061 Zehr fruit grown ? 95, 96 ? I should that but I don't I know it was in the early-mid 90's.
I think was the list show is that there are A LOT of good growers out there- Many have been growing for many years but we haven't really heard of them for one reason or another.

Thanks for the corrections. I didn't grow myself between 1995 and 2003 so I have tried to get info from others. My apologies for the mistakes.
1998 was the 1092 Burke. Sorry, I overlooked that one. It produced the 805 Pukos.
The 1061 Zehr was grown in 1996, missed that one too. Wow he had some amazing pumpkins back then. It was the 7th best seed in 1997.
Who can help me out with 1997? Were these uow or dmg pumpkins? 1025 Armstrong Female: 825.5 Shymanski 1996 Male: 909.5 Lloyd 1996 1018 Black Female: 620 Black 1996 Male: 697 Ciliberto 1994 1016 Larue Female: 676 LaRue 1996 Male: 697 Ciliberto 1994
Thanks,
Brad

Brad The 963 Zehr 95 should in fact be the 968 Zehr 95, the 968 was weighed at 2 different locations with the first official weight being 968 then consequently weighing 963 at another Weigh-Off. I am not 100% certain here but i think it weighed in first at the WPC Weigh-Off in Clarence then an IPA Weigh-Off. I am sure Ray Waterman could clarify though.
