I had a very well informed postal clerk show me on the computuer that Pumpkins Seeds are on the list of NO's going into germany. After talking to the postmaster she still allowed me to ship them..Any one else ever had this happen.

Shannon, nothing heard about here.
The bubbles I received, have all a custom seal from Frankfurt on it, that says all is OK. The last bubble I received was 3 days ago.

I sent a pack of seeds to Martin and they arrived safe and sound. I just don't use the green customs sticker anymore and there have been no problems lately.

There has been a recent revision of the rules on importing seeds into the EU just little changes here and there.Countries can opt out of the exemptions for small quantities rule if they want to.The word "Plants" now includes seeds, respectable source seems to have been replaced by certified at source. In the UK DEFRA have not updated their website yet as it is a very recent change not sure how much if any it will affect us all yet.

I noticed that DEFRA has not updated that section of the importation of plant material etc just yet. I very much doubt that UK Customs will be grabbing every package that has a hint of the word Plant or Seed on the Customs Form and and new regs will apply to bulk importation for commercial use etc.

Also, and it may appear obvious being as we are both in the EU, Martin received a Seed Package from me last Saturday.
