Here we go again. Missing from that list is the 1068 Wallace that didn't germinate for me & an 845 Bobier that split at 400 lbs est. Yet everybody that grew our lowly 281.6 managed at least 500 lbs on lates sets & got them to scales. LOL I'm growing my own from now on.

Tremor you have a very good point. What was percentage that were planted that didn't make it to the AGGC data base. To have accuracte stats you need accurate information. Ron thanks for the info, it is interesting. I would draw from your information that the 1420 probally is the most likely not to split.

To make the list the seed 1)actually had to be planted 2)grown to over 500lbs 3)officially weighed at a reporting site. I would guess the number actually planted would be much higher. I was just trying to get a general idea what seedstocks genetics are getting passed on to next years seeds. I guess you could interpret from the list what seedstock is likely to make it to a weigh-off. What surprised me is how many came from the 723 Bobier. I didn't know there were that many left to plant. The 670 Daigle also surprised me. I see alot of people were trying that seed before Martin popped a 1200lber from it.

Remember a nice 1101 was grown off the 670 the yr. before. The 670 should get a huge planting this yr.

There's more to it than that though Bill. The 1420 bore lot's of seeds that were freelly sent around to folks who actually grew it. Getting an 845 is like pulling teeth but if 100 were suddenly found by Bill in his sock drawer & sent out, darn near 50 would get planted.

The 1420 LaRue split in August at 1061 lbs for Gustavsson in Sweden. If you check his day 35 measurements(usually half way as far as weight is concerned) it could have gone way above 1200 lbs...but it did split.
