So, I wonder if they have giant pumpkin seeds. If not, what would be the best seed, or two, for them to stock?

Store up a two seed pack from the largest last ten pumpkins grown with the seed that produced that pumpkin attached to it. Use a bump off or bump out system. Keep only the top ten and the seed that made them. Up date the bank frequently as the top ten list changes.

If the world is totally wiped out from some disaster, I think the last thing on people's minds will be, "where do I get a giant pumpkin seed?" lol ! It would be a survivors mentality and growing giant pumpkins is a luxurious hobby. Give me the food seeds! :) Plus, you have to figure any survivor's would be starving and raid the place. I'm just having fun of course;) Too funny.

Jim, I heard AG's taste pretty good with a tall glass of acid rain water. I'd eat one if I had to...

I heard about this on the radio, they said there were more than 100,000 kinds of rice that need to be saved. They should get some 720.6 Noel's for that bank, make BIG food pumpkins! AleX Noel.

If you're into seed preservation, you may want to check out Seed Savers Exchange(based in Decorah, IA). I've been a memember for about 11 yrs.
