I came from a position where all actions were based on statistics. So we made every effort to keep our database accurate. So my question is how accurate (complete) is the AGGC database. Let us find out, for year 2001-2005 if you grew pumpkins just answer yes or no if you entered them in the AGGC database. If you didn’t grow pumpkins in any of those years put NA. After several weeks we will know within a close percentage the numbers of growers submitting their information and those that don’t. After several weeks I’ll post the results.

Some of the weigh off sites collect this info on weigh off day. I know the data was collected at Port Elgin this past year. I think it first went to the GPC & then to the AGGC. I could be wrong though.

I know my first years are in the AGGC, But after 2004 all the information on my pumpkins are private and I don't want them published on AGGC until it is opened to the public. When the AGGC WAS First Conceived it was a group of growers that shared there information on there pumpkins for the betterment of our sport. Not a private club for a few growers. I have tried to keep my moutn closed on this subject for the past 2 years sometimes invain because there are alot of growers that belong to the aggc are my friends, But sometimes you have to stick up for what you believe, I'm sorry if I've pissed anyone off . Like its stated before Mike does a great job at keeping up the aggc , best site on the web for genetic info. And he can do what he wants its his site.............mark
