When i first got on this site i was overwhelmed with the kindness of all of you this is one great site not to mention addicting in the summers when im not in the patch im on here chattting it up. I have a prob im a single mommy who just recived a notice from my first grade sons teacher saying the unit there studying is about neighbors in diffrent areas and to get postcard or letters so that he may bring them to his school to share with the class. The prob is I have no one my mom, dad and sisters are my sons only family and so I cant be the hero this time unless..... you all can help me help my son be the best first grader LOL the assiment is too ask everyone what there neigborhood is like?, how is your state diffrent then illinois?, how might it be the same. whats the weather like?, what is the land like mountains trees desert ect? and if posssible a pic of your neigborhood or a postcard the kid with the most responses gets a prize so when my son heard this he looked at me with his baby blues and said mommy your a super mommy can you help me win how can i not so if anyone can send me something to help a first grader out i would be grateful and promise if i ever grow a huge pumpkin i will play it foward to you all and send you seeds. Thats right lisa my sons name is shawn krzysik LOL i made the mistake of giving him his dads name but i never knew he would leave us either and thanks for all the help. My son will now realize that just because he doesnt have a dad doesnt mean things are bad and that friends can be alot like family sometimes there even better thanks for all the help ahead of time this is a way of stepping in and making sure no one makes fun of my boy for not having a dad anymore This time mommy will be the hero lol. I know kids can be cruel but to see my son say hes not getting any postcard because he has no daddy is like a blow to my heart.

thanks pumpkin mike i think it would be cool if the post cards came from all over including diffrent countries LOL and when he turns them all in i will give a full count and post a pic of him with them and very funny scottie LOL. All i can say is this site and its family is the best a mommy could ask for thanks to everyone theres not enough i can say for your kindness.

Jamestown & Williamsburg is gearing up for the 400th anniv. in 2007.
With the movie 'THE NEW WORLD" coming out this week there's all kinds postcards etc,etc . your son migt be able to use.

any postcard is welcome as long as the letter or writing that comes with it is all about your neigborhood and the postcard obiviosly cannot contain anything offensive as hes in first grade and although ladies in bikinis will be my boys thing when hes alot older right now hes only 6. The unit on neigborhood goes for 3 weeks and the contest ends then with the final tally being added and prizes annouced feb feb 15
