I was curious to see if having a great rain or snow year followed up with a really good year with your AGs. And if there was a bad dry year in your area if you had a bad year for AGs or any other type of gardening. I had a really good winter for rain , but lousy year following for a gardening. Then on a dry winter had a good year gardening. Even maybe the other way around? Has this happened to anyone else? Or is this just a fluke?

Maybe after the rainy season a lot leaching occurred in your soil? Or if it rains a lot and you go tromping around or tilling in your garden when it's wet you get heavy soil compaction. Just guesses, I've never made any corrolations before.

We just received nearly 12" of rain in the month of January alone! If there is any truth to this....growers in the Pacific Northwest will do well in 2006!

We've had the wettest winter in 20 years! I hope it helps!

In 2005 we were up almost 8 inches above rainfall average when we planted. Then nothing during the growing season. After harvest of the giant and field pumpkins we were swamped again. Ended up at plus 7 inches of rainfall for the year compared to the average.

OK, well Ohio... I hear you can get 8 inches in a day!
Our AVERAGE is 12 inches a year.

Your weaher can be explained through a weather phenomenom colle El niania. Not el nino. Apperantly this causes lots of rain in the NW and hurricanes like the ones we had this year.
