Hello friends,
after a long and work-intensive semester at university (I made the mistake of taking more courses than I could really handle with the idea of getting done earlier…) I am finally on vacation now – for ten weeks! Beginning this weekend I will stuff all bubble packs that I received during the 2005/06 seed exchange season. Also, a few growers are still waiting on trade seeds, these will be mailed out at the same time. As most of you probably know, due to increasing problems with US customs, I have a new approach to sending seeds safely (hopefully) to the US this year. I will send all bubble packs in bulk in an insured parcel to Eddy Z. in Canada. As Canada has no import restrictions on seeds there should be no problem. Eddy has available a phyto certificate that should enable him to safely forward the box to Mike F. in the US. Mike will then open the box and distribute the individual bubble packs. I plan on putting Mike’s address as a return address on the bubble packs with a destination in the US. I would estimate that it will take me about two weeks to get all bubble packs filled, another week for shipment to Canada, a few days from Canada to the US and another few days for shipment within the US. So, if all goes as planned you should receive the seeds by mid March.

The seeds are in pretty high demand, so, unless agreed differently, I will only be able to send one or two seeds from the 1233.5 to each grower who sent me a bubble pack. The 1008.4 had even fewer seeds and I will only include this one if explicitly requested in the note received with the bubble pack. However, no pack is filled yet so you still have the chance to express your interest – if possible on this thread. Also, if any of you are already sure that they will actually GROW either the 1233.5 or the 1008.4 or both you really might want to express this on this thread as well as this might influence my decision on how many seeds I put in your pack. Furthermore, I have available a good supply of my “Sky Rocket” tall tomato seeds (pics in 2004 diary). If someone wants some of these seeds please let me know, also by posting it on this thread. I will not include them unless requested. If somebody feels the need to remind me on an agreed trade or on a seed that I promised to send then please do that via private email.
Well, that’s all I can think of right now. Happy posting….

Martin, Put me down for a 1233, I WILL grow it in a prime location. Also I would like a few sky rocket seeds.
I have no clue the cost but if anyone would like to "insure" their package from Martin I think we could do that. Shoot me an email and a check to cover the cost and when I mail it I will get insurance or tracking or something on it. Just a thought.

Martin I had requested the 1233 and sky rocket seeds. I included several German heirloom tomato varieties in the bubble I sent along with some shipping cash. No 1008 seeds needed. Thanks.

I guess I know my status in the growing world. I was told back in November that none were available for trade and was directed to buy them from the Dills :( I did buy a few and am planning to grow.

i would prefer, love, die, to get two 1233.5s. i cannot guarantee that i will plant it although i was set on it in the fall. and, a sincere look at your diary may awaken things. my decisions coming up will make me cry! so, Martin, buddy, if you can swing me two, it would be great, but if not, i will sadly survive. lol---eric gerry/pumpkinpal2

I got told the same as you BrentW, back around the same time, and when I went to purchase the seed from Dill, there were no more. Guess I just wasn't meant to plant this seed.

Martin, as you know the 1233 is a defintite in my line up. Still have enough sky rockets from last year to plant. Won`t be able to plant a 1008 and I agree it`s better those get them who will really plant them. Yor DVD will be sent out to you next week.
Take care, Heino

I know that your seed is in high demand. if someone is not sure that they would grow it I sure would like to. you can send me an e-mail with the addy to send a bubble pack. I followed your diary and was very impressed with it. I am a 3rd year grower and would give it my best shot with the help of andy wolf (NYS record holder). thanks RandyTcat

Martin: I think I mentioned in my letter that my first choice would be anything you pollinated with the 670 that grew your 1233. Then 1233, then 1008. But beggars can't be choosers. Thanks in advance. Frank
