I have two suggestions so far for a title of a Giant Pumpkin Book.
1) Growing the First One-Ton AG
2) The Quest for the One-Ton Pumpkin
I will use a title that is recommended by the growers for the growers. It will cover most topics new and old and dedicated to great growers, those of know-how and scientific studies. The book is 150+ pages so far. The one giving the favorite title will receive a free-copy when it is published.
Also, What would be topics of interest about growing giants you'd like to see covered if I haven't covered the topic yet? I wish to utilize your feedback and knowledge.
Thank You ALL, Don Chambers

I like 2. Or "The 2000 pound dream pumpkin". Is this going to be similar to the Langevin books? AleX Noel.

I don't intend my question to be in the same tone as matfox's. I was asking more along the lines of: will this be a less beginner oriented book than Langevin's, some other type of theme? Thanks, AleX Noel.

There are six books that am aware that have detailed instuctions on growing giant pumpkins. What will this book have that those books don't.

shiznit true there many books on tomatoes but only three good ones :
1.Great tomato book / Sheila Buff.
2.100 heirloom tomatoes for the American garden / by Carolyn J. Male ;
3.How to grow world record tomatoes : a Guinness champion reveals his all-organic secrets / by Charles H. Wilber.

All kidding aside, hows about "The Elusive One Ton Bohemoth"

motfax, everything that people do is not based on need. The desire to write a book about something you are passionate about is an admirable thing. Peace, Wayne

Maybe, "Everything you always wanted to know about growing a GIANT PUMPKIN." I agree with the need thing. Some guys think they need more than one wife, more than one car, more than one boat. These things all cost more than a pumpkin book.

how grow giant pumpkins 1,2,3 Langevin, Don.
Grow giant pumpkins / Gail Damerow.
how to grow giant vegetables/ Bernard lavery
how to grow giant vegetables/ Colin bowcock
that's six
Plus how to grow giant pumpkins and watermelons/ by university of Arkansas extension service

Mat:
The book by Gail Damerow is called "The Perfect Pumpkin" unless Gail wrote 2 books. Also you left out "The Pumpkin King" by Al Kingsbury. Don: Another potential name for the book is "Pumpkins uber alles" which is German, taken from WW2 and translated means "Pumpkins over everything."

Don't bother with the book I mentioned, "The Perfect Pumpkin." It isn't worth even looking at. Nothing of much value to pumpkin growers.

Well now, I know Don's books...1,2, & 3 were all interesting and informative...now "The Perfect Pumpkin" seems to be being recommended as a good read for a nu-B like myself. I wonder if the 6th, 9th, 11th, or maybe the 82nd book written on growing a big one might be interesting and informative...possible??? I will keep on reading till I know it all...I am close??? LOL Peace, Wayne
