I pick....Herbie from Edmore ND. Will break the WR his first year and retire. I should grow a pumpkin so big, I will need a house mover to get it to the scale. lol

I think the record will stand this year guessing of coarse

Itzetown City

I hope Jerry Rose will make it, I keep my fingers crossed for him.

Urban Farmer (Frantz)

No Place Special

I think 1500 will be broken this year but there are to many growers who could do it to pick just one.

DTM Mountaineer (Doug)

West By God Virginia

If I was a bettin' man, I'd say Jack La Rue. I hope someone in West Virginia get's the world record, but not me.

I believe that the record this year could be close to or over 1600. Don't know who. Wallaces maybe? AleX Noel.

Statistics would suggest someone who we wouldn't expect.

Weather will play a larger role than we'd like to believe.

Steve Davies or Dick & Ron Wallace in SE New England.
Jim Ford in New Hampshire.

Too many good growers to choose from really.

Erin, if you're going to grow that WR,make sure to use my seed. But then, I've already picked out a name for my record pumpkin. One thing for sure though, the new WR will come from the Pacific NorthWest.

I'm also guessing the WR won't be broken this year. I guess the largest pumpkin of the year will be weighed in Canfield, OH.

Jerry Rose

According to statistics (I think I have posted something on that earlier) it will probably not be somebody who already had a WR. I suspect it might be coming from the West Coast as statistics say it's time to get one from there again.
I doubt if 1500 will be broken this year. It definately won't be from Europe.

PS Don't believe statistics.

Another vote for Jerry Rose. His AVERAGE weights are in the domain that most of us can only dream about.

Watch Dick Wallace this year,Im telling ya,Hes going to do it with his own seed just like Al Eaton, and Checkon did in the past. I just have the gut feeling.

Everyone knows that it takes Good soil,Good seed, and Good luck. The first two we can control, the luck part???..... It will most likly be from a seasoned veteran who always seem to have that luck thing working for them.

JACK AND SHERRY LARUE ARE SO OVER DUE FOR A WORLD RECORD ITS GONNA HAPPEN .IF NOT IN 2006 THEN VERY SOON. DONT COUNT OUT JOE POOKIE PUKOS OR THE SNGPG "MAFIA" GANG EITHER.
DAVE STELTS IS LURKING IN THE WEEDS TO. READY TO POUNCE ON ANOTHER W.R. ( THATS WORLD RECORD NOT WIDE REAR )

I would have to agree Jack Larue is due. Perhapes Al Eaton also. I suspect though the weather/climate is going to be the deciding factor in who will break the next record.

I think either Dick or Ron Wallace have a great chance at it. Just remember, that group from Rhode Island work together as a team....

Choctaw, OK

Well, i hope its from WI...we are due for something extremely off the wall and out of the ordinary...otherwise, I pick Joe Pukos, he's very deserving of it.

I think that Quinn Werner has a great shot.
